The weather couldn't have been better and the food was wonderful, as good friends Jerry and Michelle Womble invited us to a relaxing afternoon of family socializing, topped with fried turkey, boiled shrimp, vegetables, casseroles, Greek salad, and assorted breads and desserts amid the spectacular scenery of northeast Alabama's Chandler Mountain. I'm still not sure about pushing off from that hang-gliding platform, 'though -- something about a ten penny nail and a sledgehammer comes to mind!
